The volcanic landscape of Taranaki, with its ring of wild coast beaches, green and pleasant land, myriads of clear streams and bush covered slopes, provides a beautiful backdrop to a fascinating weekend event held annually in June each year. With over 70 artist's participating this year; the artist's studios and workshops are open from 9.30am to 4.30pm for the dates of 9/10/11 June 2018. Admission is free.

We have great pleasure in welcoming you to the 13th Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival. This is one of New Zealand’s friendliest garden festivals and we pride ourselves on the variety of plants we can grow in Taranaki. The Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival is a ten day adventure into the homes of garden gurus throughout the Taranaki region. We offer a unique and friendly experience that will inspire and motivate our visitors to take their gardening skills to a new level. All festival gardens have been assessed by an independent committee to ensure they meet our high standard. We hope you enjoy your time in this beautiful part of the country.

Come along to help celebrate 30 years of the Powerco Taranaki Garden Spectacular (formerly the Rhododendron Festival). New Zealand’s premier spring festival offers a feast of private and public gardens. The festival also offers a mixture of free and paid events, including House and Garden tours, Chapman-Taylor tours, a variety of events and workshops, art on display in gardens, guided walks and festivities.

Each summer the TSB Bank Festival of Lights transforms Pukekura Park, one of New Zealand's premier botanical gardens, into a magical illuminated night-time wonderland of multi-coloured lights gleaming amongst the trees, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year. Come and be wowed by the live night-time entertainment from national and international performers, stunning lighting features, a fantastic mix of daytime activities for children and families, twilight movies in the park and pop-up performance features.
